Eating habits have changed tremendously over the last decades. Many of these changes have been positive: for example , the variety of food available has increased tremendously, the hygiene standards have improved a lot and we have access to seasonal fruits and vegetables at all times in all parts of the world. But not all the changes have been for the better: a lot of the food we eat is processed food from unknown origin, contains artificial and often harmful flavor enhancers and most importantly and destructively, we have started to genetically modify our food.
Our eating habits are all too much steered by a food industry (agriculture, hospitality…) that has its own best interests in mind (profit), but not necessarily the best interest of its consumers (us).  Food production and preparation has become over-industrialized and efficiency in production  is much more important than healthy eating. Examples are chicken or pork breeding factories where the animals are gravely mistreated or the use of dangerous toxins in the production of crops.
In this course, you will learn what exactly is healthy food, where you can find it, how it is prepared and how it is served. This course is not a cooking course. Guruji Sri Sri Poonamji will teach you the basics of eating healthy, but not how to cook. You will learn about ingredients: which ones to use and which ones to avoid; about preparation methods and about how the food should be eaten.
This course has a strong vegetarian flavor to it, Guruji Sri Sri Poonamji herself is a vegetarian and this comes through in her teachings.  But the principles taught here are general and hence applicable to non-vegetarians too.
