A New Era Has Awakened
Every year there is one day that is most powerful than any other, it is in the month of July on the full moon, and it is called Guru Purnima. This day you honour your Guru for all the blessings you have received from the last year and the success of this day is determined by how much selfless service, humbleness and gratitude is poured from the disciples and devotees to the Guru. This day’s success will foretell the success of the entire following year.
On the biggest day of the year, Guru Purnima July 16th 2019, we honored our Guru who’s formal title at that time was “Her Holiness Guruji Sri Sri Poonamji,” lovingly referred to as Guruji.
Guruji was offered garlands of jasmine, the highest quality of silks in various bright colors, fruits, vegetables, presents, and an abundance of food! This year’s Guru Purnima was overflowing with devotion, humbleness, and gratitude across the world for our Guru, Sri Sri Poonamji.
As this event unfolded with a week full of celebrations beginning on Saturday July 13th with Guruji’s birthday to Guru Purnima, to fire ceremonies at the Kali Temple in Singapore, we are filled with joy to the opening of love and light for this next year to come! Those seeking truth within themselves, looking for sincerity, honesty, and compassion for themselves will find the flow of light stronger this year!
Immediately following Guru Purnima, this week Guruji has been honored and recognized by temples, festivals, and dignitaries alike. The President of the Gita Ashram honored Guruji at the Singapore Sindhi Association. The Ratha Yatra ceremony honored Guruji as a special guest, acknowledged by the thousands of attendees in Singapore’s stadium. Many came to seek blessings from Guruji. The Kali Temple held a special fire ceremony for Guruji as an honoring of our universal Divine Mother. Dr Madan Kataria, founder of laughter yoga, bowed in humble respect to Guruji at Her attendance as well as Swami Shree Yuga Sharan disciple of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat’s worldwide non-profit Hindu organization who also honored Guruji with a token of gratitude at his Spiritual Discourse.
This surge of powerful love and light has brought upon an awakening that has been gifted from our lineage of Gurus to our Guru. His Holiness Sri Sri Sri 1008 Baba Sevanandaji Maharaj and His Holiness Sri Sri Sri 1008 Baba Neem Karoliji Maharaj has granted the disciples of Guruji the opportunity to present Her Holiness with a newly uplifted official title:
Sarva Lokaa Maa Her Holiness Sri Sri Sri 1008 Guruji Poonamji
Guruji is a Saint of the highest order therefore Her Holiness’ official title has been gifted to us 14 years after Guruji received the Guruship from Her Guru, Sri Sri Sri 1008 Baba Sevanandaji Maharaj. The birth of this new title is a sign of light opening in the cosmic.
Sarva means all, Lokaa means realms, Maa is mother. Together this means the mother of all realms, or our universal divine mother.
Sri Sri Sri is a title given to royalty, three Sri’s signify Her Holiness’ supreme celestial divinity.
1008 is the number of petals of the lotus, representing enlightenment and all the energy points that have attained complete light (superconsciousness).
Guru means the dispeller of darkness and uplifter of light.
Poonam is Guruji’s birth name meaning completion.
